DIY Decorative Tiles

If you need an idea for an inexpensive homemade gift or just a fun way for kids to display artwork, this is the idea for you.

Supplies:

*White tiles, we got ours at Menard's for 16 cents a tile.

*Sharpie markers

*A paper plate (a piece of cardboard or some newspaper would work as well)

*Rubbing Alcohol

*Clear Coat Spray

Place your tile on top of the plate. You can also use cardboard or newspaper. The idea is to protect whatever surface you are working on from scratches.

Start decorating your tiles. Your kids can draw pictures or write words/quotes on the tiles.

If you have younger children this is a great chance for them to scribble away.

Once you have decorated all your tiles, place them on a baking tray or a piece of cardboard. Spray them with a clear coat and let air dry.

You can back your tiles with felt or cork board to make homemade tiles. Just use a little hot glue or super glue to adhere the felt or cork to the back of the tile.
