Summer Journal

The kids wanted to be able to go back to school this coming fall and tell all their friends what they did this summer. So, to keep track of everything we are doing, we created a Summer Journal.

We had an extra set of alphabet dividers from when we made our own recipe boxes, so we pulled those out to create our journal.

Between each letter, we put 3 index cards. We punched holes in everything and put it together with some clips we had. You could also use ribbon or string to keep it together.

We also printed off a title for our journal and glued it to the front.
Each day we do something, we write it in our journal. For example, on Wednesday 5/23 we worked on Father's Day crafts. So, we found the F page and wrote what we did.  The kids and I take turns. Since they tend to write rather large, they get the easy pages and I get to write the other entries.

Instead of using the alphabet dividers, you could make your own dividers with numbers or months and keep track that way.

Feel free to add pictures or other items that will help you remember what you did.
